Good Morning all! :) I feel great to tell you that we have started a series of interactive sessions called 'MEET THE ENTREPRENEUR' at Chowgule College.
This initiative is aimed at getting successful entrepreneurs from Goa and also from other states in Chowgule College campus, who are successful professional from different fields like IT, Art, Food Industry, Music, Dance, Travel Industry, Agriculture, Social Sector etc; so that students can meet them and have interactive sessions to learn about how the particular business started, what it takes to start such a business and how important is to know the requirements in the market and work towards satisfying the requirements, in short doing business! :)
We met Vaman Laad on 11th August and had an interactive session on Landscaping Business in Goa. The botany department students attended the session and had a wonderful interactive session with Vaman. He spoke about what is landscaping business, the elements of landscaping, the types of plants used, taking care of the plants, how and when he started the business, what is the market requirement for such a business in Goa, who can start doing this business, how to start with such a project, etc.
Other names in landscaping business are Daniel Desouza, Sanjay Kamat and many others
We are soon planning to have a field visit and get more insights on landscaping. Please keep an eye on the college website for more updates on FB page of Tiger studio for such events.
